Commissioned work

I'll blog a selection of my illustrations here.

ACHUKA books

ACHUKA books is an exclusively digital imprint of titles carefully selected for publication – under the ACHUKA imprint – on the Kindle store. Its founder/editor is book fanatic Michael Thorn, who was for many years a regular reviewer for The Scotsman, Literary Review, TES and Carousel. He commissioned me to design a logo and cover layout that can be used for the first batch of titles to create a nice consistent series.

Shadow and silence

Another peculiar story by writer Joost van Gijzen, gloomy and with some unexpected turns. I drew the first 5 pages for now, and I’m looking forward to finishing the whole graphic novel.

Snow

A happy end christmas card for Digicasso Incasso.

Tantra

A small series of drawings to go with an article about tantra for the Dutch LIS magazine!

Tune

Tune is an intriguing short story about a woman who receives a mysterious letter, written by Joost van Gijzen. This is the very first page, the rest will follow when we find a publisher. Send me a mail if you’re interested in the script:)

Mr. Polak

A portrait of Henri Polak for Het PR Bureau, who’s going to move to the Henri Polaklaan in Amsterdam, as well as an illustration on social media.
Commissioned by the cool cup of tea.

Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra

An invitation to an evening with maecenases (patrons) who support the orchestra and make it possible for them to purchase the best istruments – a double bass, this time.

Lieve

Birth card for little Lieve.

Madeleine

Birth card for Madeleine, who’s father is a brave sailor.
